 Paprika Korps is a alternative heavy/reggae band from Poland and among the hardest touring polish bands, domestic as well as abroad. Their touringlist over the last three years contains well over 200 gigs in 20 european countries. This heavy touring schedule has earned the band the nickname "The Heavy Reggae Travellers".
The music has been described as an interesting combo of reggae, dub and punk. One journalist wrote: "...heavy roots rockers style, reggae vibe without compromise, warrior directions, not sunshine..."
The most important dates in history of the crew:
• 13th of April 1996 - first gig of PK in their hometown Opole, club "Dworek"
• 1997 - first unreleased recording in studio "Czad"
• 1999 - release of first official album "Kolejny Krok" (W moich oczach)
• August 2000 - first long tour in Poland, 11 shows
• December 2000 - first gig outside Poland in german Goerlitz
• March 2001 - PK plays on Back to the Roots Festival in Dresden
• 10th of August 2001 - release of second's group album "Przede wszystkim muzyki" (W moich oczach). Song "Facts of life" becomes powerplay in most important at that time polish independent radiostation "Radiostacja"
• May 2002 - first international tour of PK including 21 shows in Poland, Czech, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia
• March 2004 - third official album "Telewizor", released this time by own label "Karrot Kommando"
• September 2005 - recording of live show in finnish Tampere, released few months later on the 10th anniversary of the band. "Koncert W Tampere / Konsertti Tampereella" (Karrot Kommando)
• March 2006 - first shows outside european continent in Novosibirsk and Tomsk
• March 2007 - fifth official album "Magnetofon" (Karrot Kommando)
• 2010 – sixth official album "Metalchem" (Karrot Kommando)
