Wokalista i producent Christos DC (Christopher Vrenios) urodził się w Waszyngtonie. Jego rodzice śpiewali w operze i zawodowo uczyli śpiewu. Swój pseudonim Christos zaczerpnął ze swojego greckiego dziedzictwa aby reprezentować linię, która nadała ton jego muzycznej ścieżce.
W 2020 roku został uznany przez Washington Area Music Awards za najlepszego artystę reggae w regionie DC.
Głęboka miłość Christosa dla dźwięków płynących się z Kingston skłoniła go do produkcji i nagrywania z legendarnymi artystami reggae jak Sly & Robbie, Firehouse Crew, The Itals, Augustus Pablo, Sugar Minott czy Don Carlos. Współtworzył i nagrywał również ze światowej sławy grupą Thievery Corporation. Przez kilka lat był w ciągłej trasie jako gitarzysta i chórzysta. W 2014 roku ukazał się jego album „Long Road”, który spotkał się z uznaniem krytyków. W ramach letniego hitu 2015 roku, „Righteous Chant”, ponownie spotkał się z Donem Carlosem. Podczas lockdownu w 2020 roku zaczął pisać materiał na „Crisis 2.0” – testament klimatu społecznego i zmian zachodzących na całym świecie. Album zyskał światową uwagę. W 2024 roku wydał instrumentalny album zatytułowany „Kung Fu Action Theater”, łączący reggae z tradycyjnymi chińskimi instrumentami.
W 2025 roku Christos DC pojawia się z zupełnie nowym albumem, będącym owocem współpracy z francuskim zespołem roots reggae The Ligerians.
Ich historia rozpoczęła się w 2010 roku w Tours od założenia studia Soul Nurse Records. Wyprodukowali 3 albumy z Rodem Antonem oraz wiele innych singli i płyt, stając się jednym z głównych znaków rozpoznawczych francuskiej sceny. The Ligerians nagrywali również z Joe Pilgrimem, Chezidekiem, Protoje, Tikenem Jah Fakoly, Marcusem Gadem, Nai-Jah, Alpha Steppa, Laurentem „Tippy” Alfredem lub Nadią McAnuff.

The artist/producer Christos DC (aka Christopher Vrenios) was born and in Washington, D.C. by parents who sang opera and taught voice professionally. He takes his name from his Greek heritage, using a nick- name given to him by his grandmother to represent the lineage that set the tone of his musical path. In 2020 he was recognized by the Washington area music awards as the best Reggae artist in the DC region.
It was Christos’ deep appreciation for the sounds coming out of Kingston, Jamaica that led him to produce and record with legendary reggae artists Sly and Robbie, the Firehouse Crew, The Itals, Augustus Pablo, Sugar Minot and Don Carlos. He also has co-written and recorded with the world-famous Thievery Corporation. He spent several years on the road as the band’s a guitarist and backup vocalist. In 2014 the “Long Road” album was released and received critical acclaim. The summer hit of 2015, “Righteous Chant”, finds him reunited with Don Carlos. During the lockdown of 2020 he began writing Crisis 2.0 as a Testament to the social climate and changes occurring globally. The album received worldwide attention. In 2024 he released an instrumental project entitled “Kung Fu Action Theater” fusing Reggae with Chinese instruments.
In 2025 Christos DC is coming with the brand new album, as a collaboration with French roots reggae band The Ligerians.
Their story began in Tours in 2010 with set up of Soul Nurse Records studio. They produced 3 albums with Rod Anton and plenty more, becoming one of the main trademarks in the French scene. The Ligerians also recorded with Joe Pilgrim, Chezidek, Protoje, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Marcus Gad, Nai-Jah, Alpha Steppa, Laurent 'Tippy’ Alfred or Nadia McAnuff.
