Their biggest lineup so far – everyone who ever participated in the project so far. Of course this crazy party is run by 27Pablo, Junior Stress and Diego Cichy Don. We cannot even imagine it!
Dancehall Masak-Rah is a group of friends who like Jamaican dancehall & reggae, “Rick and Morty” cartoon and collects ketchup sachets from gas stations. The history of this project dates back to 2008, when in the Warsaw club Mandala 27Pablo and Junior Stress they played the first time together. Over the time they played hundreds of events in Poland, but also in India, Germany and Portugal, both in clubs and festivals. They mix elements of live act and traditional Jamaican sound system.
In 2013 Dancehall Masak-Rah won the “Nocne Marki” Aktivist mag award in the category of “The event of the Year”. They were the first in Poland to broadcast their radio show at the student Radio Kampus in Warsaw straight from Jamaica. Since 2016 Masak-Rah plays their sets with Diego Cichy Don, who released his super modern dancehall-bass album. At their parties, Junior Stress’ classic tunes are presented in updated remix versions, with 27Pablo’s work involved. The crew is on a new, creative way and step by step there is always more their own productions. Their remix of Bunji Garlin’s “Differentology” even landed on BBC 1Xtra playlist. Over the last year, everyone worked on their solo projects. Junior Stress recorded new songs in his studio. Sung version of traffic information in Warsaw by Pablo and Diego caught the viral wave, which resulted in the proposal to run a show on Polish private TVN. In Ostróda they will perform in the most expanded lineup so far, including everyone who has been a part since their beginning.
„The program reads Dancehall Masak-Rah, and, honestly, the name says it all. Demolition!!! Together they rule the massive, confetti guns and torches and all. The place is on fire!”
