„Nine Mile” (2025), his ninth studio album, inspired by the name of the village where Bob Marley was born, dives into the music and ideas that first lit the creative spark during his formative years in Italy. While revisiting his musical roots here, he does so with a broad perspective shaped by his years of touring and recorded collaborations, blending Brazilian bossa nova, rock, hip-hop, and pop into his unique brand of roots reggae. The sound of the album is distinctly personal as over time, Alborosie has assembled a state-of-the-art studio including refurbished analog gear used by some of reggae’s aural architects. The output is authentic and expansive reggae music.
