Producer, composer and head of Steppas Records, Alpha Steppa stands as one of the key figures in contemporary dub. Nai-Jah draws from his Nigerian heritage to deliver messages of resistance and spiritual resilience, carried by an enchanting and committed voice.

The son and nephew of respected dub heavyweights Alpha & Omega, Alpha Steppa has been surrounded by soundsystem and dubplate culture from a young age. Now a talented producer in his own right, his productions connect the dots between the music which he has grown up around and the new generation of UK bass music of which he is a part. His dubbed out style draws upon the sounds of his musical heritage, filtered through an exploration of the newer sounds of dubstep.
In 2025, after several powerful collaborations, Alpha Steppa and Nai-Jah reunited around their new album “Crowned Eagle”, a double musical journey featuring ten vocal tracks and ten dub versions, exploring ancestral wisdom, contemporary struggles and spiritual strength. Crossing reggae roots, dub, afrobeat and steppers, the album embodies the full depth and intensity of their shared universe.
On stage their connection comes to life through a hypnotic, vibrant and deeply unifying live show, where Alpha Steppa’s deep basslines meet Nai-Jah’s conscious and powerful voice – an experience between awareness and celebration.
