FOLIBA
„Tan” album („10” in Malinke language) is a musical summary of the 10-years travel of the Polish-Senegalese band Foliba. They discover roots in trance sound of African percussion music. During this time they had many incredible encounters with rhythm, the audience and artists from Europe and Africa. The album was recorded with the Senegalese musician Ablaye’m Badji, currently a regular member of the band. „Tan” is a large dose of traditional rhythms of West Africa with full activity at djembe, dundun and dam drums. You hear there also melodic songs with delicate strings of kora and sounds of the African marimba – balaphone. Ablaye spins stories in Mandinka. Cheeba, EastWest Rockers vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kamil Rogiński (R.U.T.A, Sango) appear among the guests on the album, produced by Studio As One.
Foliba concert will start after the workshop at the same location.
