SHASHAMANE 10 YEARS (Polska)
10 lat aktywności wyjątkowych strażników źródłowej jamajskiej tradycji muzycznej w Polsce.
Zespół Shashamane powstał w 2015 roku i w swoim składzie zgromadził doświadczonych muzyków, których połączyła wspólna pasja – jamajskie brzmienia, a zwłaszcza roots reggae i dub. To osoby związane wcześniej z takimi grupami jak Bakshish, Duberman, Tabu, Lion Vibrations, Zgroza, Jahoo, Baobab, Natural Mystic, Ziggie Piggie, YO i wiele innych. Shashamane grali na wszystkich głównych imprezach reggae w kraju, a zagranicą odwiedzili Cultural Reggae Vibez w Hořicach oraz Uprising Reggae Festival w Bratysławie.
W 2017 roku wydali swój debiutancki krążek „Origin & Culcha”. Nad miksem i masteringiem czuwał holenderski muzyk i producent Marc Baronner. Na płycie znalazły się również jego wersje dubowe wybranych utworów.
Premiera drugiego albumu „Shashamane” odbyła się w lipcu 2021 w Ostródzie.
Sekcja dęta oraz wokalistki zostali zaproszeni do współpracy przez Brinsley’a Forde w jego projekcie „Aswad Experience”.
Na płycie „Dubmasters meet Shashamane” usłyszeć można m.in. miksy Umberto Echo z Niemiec, Dubmatixa z Kanady, Marca Baronnera czy rodzimych twórców: Krystiana „K-Jah” Walczaka, Tomasza „Siwego” Wójcika i innych.
W ubiegłym roku wydali winylowego maxisingla “Celebrating / International Farmer”.
W ramach jubileuszu Shashamane zamierza zrealizować nowe nagrania, które ukażą się na płycie „Showcase”. Te utwory wypełnią repertuar koncertowy podczas najbliższych występów.

10 years of activity of exceptional guardians of the original Jamaican musical tradition in Poland.
The Shashamane band was formed in 2015 by experienced musicians united with a common passion – Jamaican sounds, especially roots reggae and dub. Before they played in such Polish bands like Bakshish, Duberman, Tabu, Lion Vibrations, Zgroza, Jahoo, Baobab, Natural Mystic, Ziggie Piggie, YO and many others. Shashamane have played at all main reggae events in the country, and abroad: they have visited Cultural Reggae Vibez in Hořice and Uprising Reggae Festival in Bratislava.
In 2017 they released their debut album „Origin & Culcha”. The mix and mastering was in hands of Dutch musician and producer Marc Baronner. The album also includes his dub versions of selected songs.
The premiere of the second album „Shashamane” took place in July 2021 in Ostróda.
The brass section and vocalists were invited to collaborate by Brinsley Forde in his project „Aswad Experience”.
On the album „Dubmasters meet Shashamane” you can hear, among others, mixes by Umberto Echo from Germany, Dubmatix from Canada, Marc Baronner and local artists: Krystian „K-Jah” Walczak, Tomasz „Siwy” Wójcik and others.
Last year they released the vinyl maxi-single „Celebrating / International Farmer”.
As part of the anniversary, Shashamane intends to make new recordings, creating the new album „Showcase”. You will able to check them at the upcoming performances.
