Released in Autumn, Sidney’s third solo album is a return to the roots known from his debut. It brings new hits crossing reggae, hiphop and folk, and the author’s advantage are interesting observations and memories.
Sidney Polak (Jarosław Polak) is a Warsaw based musician, composer, songwriter and since 1990 also a drummer for Polish rock legends T.Love. He recorded about 15 albums and played about 3,000 concerts with them. He also released two solo albums with original compositions and texts. The first of them, „Sidney Polak” (2004), brought such hits as „Otwieram wino”, „Chorwat” or „Chomiczówka” and three Fryderyks (main Polish music awards) in the categories: author, composer and album of the year – alternative music. Among the guests you could hear there Reggaenerator, Pablopavo of Vavamuffin band or popular rapper Pezet. In 2009 Sidney released another album „Cyfrowy styl życia” with featuring from well-known Polish reggae/dancehall outfit Eastwest Rockers, among the others. Sidney is also a music producer. In addition to his solo albums, he produced the album „Radio Pezet” by Pezet (2012). He also collaborated with Junior Stress, Vavamuffin, Trzeci Wymiar or Dreadsquad. The year 2018 is the suspension of the T.Love band’s concert activity and marks Sidney’s return to solo career.
His third album „3” was released in October 2018 and brings another hit songs, like „Więcej od złota”, „Korek” or „Ogień i stal”, based on K-Jah Sound riddim.
