Kamil Bednarek needs no introduction here. Favourite for Poles of many generations and a real stage performer will present his “Oddycham…” album that put his music to another level.
Kamil Bednarek is a singer, composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He released first EP “Ziemia obiecana” with his group StarGuardMuffin in 2008. The unknown band from a small Polish town is responsible for the biggest commercial success in the history of Polish reggae. Kamil’s popularity grown to enormous level after he participated in „I Got Talent” – major TV young talents show in 2010. StarGuardMuffin’s debut album “Szanuj” enjoyed double platinum status in 2011. After breaking success of the album the band made a trip to Jamaica resulted in „Jamaican Trip” EP, recorded at Marley’s Tuff Gong Studio with guest appearances from Capleton, Stephen Newland (Rootz Underground), Dean Fraser, The Tamlins or Shaggy’s band players. In 2012 after some changes, a new band Bednarek was born. „Jestem…” album, was highly acclaimed and hit the Polish charts again. 2013 was marked with EP containing remixes, dub and live versions. Same year saw them release „Bednarek Live. Przystanek Woodstock” DVD/CD. The band is constantly on tour, performing hundreds of shows from small towns to major festivals, from Poland to US, UK or Germany. Last year the winners of Cental Europe MTV Music Awards released another album „Oddycham”, partially recorded in Jamaica with guests like Alborosie, Junior Kelly or Dean Fraser.
